Grow Together Foundation is a communal project, shared by a group of friends, with a common vision. We want to give back to the community around us, by offering services and events that will bring us closer together, all united by the catholic faith.

From sporting events and educational programs to day camp for children and cultural activities, we create opportunities that strengthen both individuals and the community as a whole.
Our Mission
We aim to foster an environment of authentic dialogue and collaboration, grounded in the awareness that our fundamental desires are shared. This common ground becomes the basis for true unity within the educational community, where each person is respected, engaged, and invited into a deeper encounter with truth, beauty, and goodness..
We envision the Grow Together Foundation as a home, where everyone can feel welcome, supported, and inspired. It is a place to grow, to develop new skills, and to discover new opportunities. At the same time, it is a space to give back, to strenghten our shared faith, and to realize that even in a city as vast as New York, meaningful connections can be built, and true community can flourish.
Our Story
How It All Started
The Grow Together Foundation was founded in December 2024, inspired by the vision of our President, Don Luigi Portarulo. Originally from the Vatican, Don Luigi moved to New York in 2022, where he has since been guiding and supporting the city’s vibrant Italian congregation.
Blending Italian tradition with the energy of New York, Don Luigi quickly realized that meeting people only through church services was not enough to build the deeper sense of community he envisioned. He gathered a small group of close friends and trusted advisors to establish a non-profit foundation that could go further — creating spaces to connect, support one another, and strengthen bonds rooted in shared Catholic faith.
Growing Together, Every Day
From this idea, the Grow Together Foundation was born: a place to host events, foster friendships, and provide opportunities for growth and mutual support. What began as a small circle of dedicated volunteers soon expanded into a growing movement. Today, the Foundation offers educational programs for children and families, sports activities, Italian and English language courses, and practical support for those navigating life in a complex city like New York — with much more still to come.
